Comment-to-DM

Comment LINK automation for Instagram posts and reels

Ask for a word in the comments and send everyone who says it a DM with your link, seconds later, through the official Instagram API.

What you get

  • Any keyword, not just LINK. Whole-word or partial matching.
  • Emoji and punctuation are stripped before matching, so real comments still match.
  • A tracked link, so you see clicks and CTR rather than guessing.
  • An optional public reply under the comment at the same time.

For product links

A reel drives thousands of comments asking where to buy. Everyone who asks gets the link in their DMs while they are still in the app, instead of being sent to a bio link they may never open.

For creator offers

A guide, a discount, or a waitlist. Add a follow gate and the DM asks them to follow first, then releases the link once they do. It fails open if Instagram does not report follow status, so a genuine follower is never left stuck.

For launch spikes

Sends are capped under Meta's documented limit of 750 private replies per hour per account. Anything over the cap queues and goes out in the next window rather than being dropped or risking the account.

Questions worth asking

Can I use keywords other than LINK?

Any word, and several per campaign. Matching is case-insensitive, ignores emoji and punctuation, and can require a whole word or accept partial matches.

Does this send a normal Instagram DM?

It sends a private reply, which is Meta's official mechanism for responding to a comment. It arrives in the person's inbox like any other message from the account.

Will this get the account flagged?

It runs on the official Instagram API with no scraping, no browser automation, and no password. Sends stay under Meta's documented rate limit, and a DM only ever goes to someone who commented or messaged first.

What if Instagram never sends the webhook?

A polling sweep re-checks recent comments on active campaigns every few minutes and picks up anything the webhook missed. It skips comments already replied to, so nobody gets messaged twice.
